Membership of the MGS

The Mediterranean Garden Society welcomes everyone interested in the plants and gardens of mediterranean-climate areas, amateurs and professionals, novices and experts alike.
Not a member? Sign up and get an information pack with five free leaflets: Making a Dry Garden, Some Drought Tolerant Shrubs, Mulches and Compost, The Waterwise Garden: Conserving Water and The MGS Garden at Sparoza.
As a member you will receive a quarterly journal, The Mediterranean Garden, be invited to join excursions and find fellow gardeners in your locality if there is a branch. Members may join in the Seed Exchange and order up to 15 packets of seeds per year free of charge. You will be welcome at the MGS garden at Sparoza, the garden where the MGS was born and which is maintained exclusively for MGS members.
Once you see what we’re all about you may wish to contribute with articles or drawings for the journal, photos and texts for the website, follow Sparoza garden and the MGS on Instagram or join us on Facebook. Many local branches also have their own newsletters, websites and Facebook pages.
Annual subscription rates for 2025 - Payable in euros only.
Subscriptions are due in January. New members joining the society during the course of the year will receive all four issues of the Journal published in the year of joining.
Student members should send a scan of a currently dated student card by email or send a photocopy by post to: The MGS, PO Box 14, Glyka Nera, GR-15304 Greece
If you wish to receive only the e-version of the journal, not the print version, annual subscriptions will be €40 for members in all countries or €60 for a joint subscription. (€20 for Students).

Terms and Conditions
We will not be able to accept your order and payment for membership if the authorisation of your credit card fails. If there are any other problems with the payment you will be contacted by the Treasurer.

If you live in the EU you have the right by law to cancel your payment within seven days of submitting it. To cancel your payment please contact us.
Your personal details are treated as strictly confidential and will be used only for administrative purposes within the confines of the MGS.
This information will be respected according to the terms of the Data Protection Act but if you have ANY OBJECTION to your name and email address being passed to other Members ONLY please indicate your objection by ticking the special box on your Subscription Application.
